Why Read It?
A Very Brave Book
A Very Brave Book takes the reader on a journey of the life of author Tahjanae D. Northcutt. This journey begins early in her childhood at the tender age of 4 leading up into her adulthood at age 41. Through the lens of a child, traumatic experiences were left unresolved and questions unanswered as she tried to navigate her way through life feeling shame, confused, abandoned, and in pain as her inner wounded child played out in her relationships and ultimately led to her choosing a career as a therapist. The author shares her most intimate personal experiences of abuse, neglect, and self-inflicted pain as she became a high functioning silent sufferer. Against all odds, she prevailed through the grief, and torment of low self-esteem and childhood emotional neglect. Tahjanae began to realize in her adulthood by the loss of two important parental figures that sometimes God takes you on a journey you didn’t know you needed, to bring you everything you ever wanted. The Author offers her readers tools of triumph by sharing scriptures she faithfully sought to guide her through lessons along the roller coaster of her development and encourages everyone to be brave enough to forgive your younger self, believe in your current self, and create your future self. The steps of success are brilliantly displayed in the chapters as she explains how to release the mental, physical, and emotional wounds that tend to hold us back, and start the self-work of delivering yourself by healing and manifesting your dreams with ease. This is her story. A story that is bound to keep you immersed and turning pages as the pain unfolds and the author empowers us to find ourself, face ourself, and heal ourselves in order to live out our true purpose in this life.
